I started my professional wood working education as an apprentice in 1977 and graduated from North Bennet Street School in 1981 – the preeminent American period furniture making school in the US. Because I have lived in both urban New England and rural Alaska I have had the opportunity to design and build a very wide variety of products: everything from Philadelphia style Chippendale card tables to a pair of teak sliding doors for the White Sulfur Hot Spring cabin located on Chichagof Island overlooking the Gulf of Alaska. In my almost 40 years of professional wood working experience, I have genuinely enjoyed my work with an eye for quality and craftsmanship. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Gordon Allen Whitermore
